Astra Folio scoops Eurasia Wrap honour
Ivan Tenchev of Bulgarian vehicle wrapping specialist Astra Folio has been named as the winner of the 2016 FESPA Eurasia Wrap Masters.
Supported by Hexis, the competition, which attracted major interest from across the region, took place at FESPA Eurasia, which ran from December 8-11, 2016, in Istanbul, Turkey.
The contest challenged entrants on the quality, speed, technique and creativity of their wrapping skills, with finalists facing off in a number of rounds at the event in Istanbul. However, Tenchev was able to see off competition from a host of competitors to become FESPA Eurasia Wrap Master Champion.
FESPA EURASIA 2016 ATTRACTS INTERNATIONAL AUDIENCE OF INVESTMENT-READY BUYERS
FESPA Eurasia 2016, which took place from 8-11 December 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey, welcomed 8,232 individual visitors, with total attendance across the four days reaching 9,774 visits, demonstrating the value visitors placed on attending for more than one day.
The exhibition was very successful in terms of buying behaviour: 44% of visitors were final decision makers and 81% of attendees were involved in the decision-making process, highlighting that FESPA Eurasia is a strong ‘buying’ show.

FESPA Awards 2017 now open for entries
FESPA, the global federation of national associations for the print industry, has announced a new judging schedule for its 2017 Awards programme, taking place alongside FESPA 2017 in Hamburg in May. The FESPA Awards is the print industry’s only independent, global Awards programme to celebrate the achievements and innovations within the print industry and non-printed signage industry.
Now in its 26th year, the programme is renowned for unearthing talent across all disciplines of the printing industry. Christian M Walter, Managing Director of previous winner, Taller de Serigrafia, stated “There is no better publicity for a print studio than winning a prize as prestigious as a FESPA Gold Award. Anybody who is entirely convinced to have done something extraordinary should send their submissions, as these awards are a major showcase for a printer´s work and skills.”
